

I believe the original intention for base raids was for people to be able to climb walls to get in rather than (or maybe in addition to) breaking through gates. I think that climbing, on the other hand, is pretty likely to be added in some way. In general, I don't think an RTS-style game like Kenshi really has much need for jumping though. Jumping could be useful, but I can't see someone jumping to the roof of a watchtower (or off of one without serious injury or death).

Something like a smokescreen would obviously aid in sneaking, but it doesn't make sense that one would need to be good at sneaking to use one. Trap items would be great, but again, I don't see why this should be tied to sneak skill. If sneak attacks were to be added, I think this is exactly the wrong way to do it in a game like this. Cooldowns on things like this also feel very not-Kenshi to me. This, along with sneak attacks, just seem like they would inch into Skyrim-esque sneak-archer gameplay, which Kenshi doesn't need imo. I don't really see why sneak skill should influence ranged skill. Some sneak gear boosting dodge in darkness is definitely a good idea to offset the low defense. I also think it should apply to some small/light weapons in addition to martial arts, perhaps in a way that higher block chance gives a lower dodge chance, and vice versa. I think some sort of expansion of the dodge skill is a great idea. This mechanism is a game changer and let me think about this some more for proper implementation.

Ninja should be good at changing their face, they can change their faction to another for one day. There was an art form called face change art, which was a kind of make up skill. Why isn't jumping a thing? Jump has a cooldown too, maybe like 50 seconds. Ninja, or the characters with a certain level of sneak, can Jump, to the roof of building or watchtower and vice versa. New Trap items that can only be used by high sneak characters (ninja). It has a cooldown of 3 minutes real time. It is not just about the look of a Ninja, it is a whole lot of different mechanism to make a ninja. That is why they are called ninja and not Samurai, because they are usually bad at one on one fight with a Samurai. Both for staying hidden, and for escaping. Ninjas have a lot of tool of trade other than weapon and armor. It has to use the surrounding material, or man made material, to blend in with the environment completely. Sneaking, and camouflage, are important parts of Ninja culture.
